Atletico Madrid have shown interest in Alaves midfielder Marcos Llorente. The defensive midfielder on loan from Real Madrid at Alaves has been very impressive this season featuring in almost every game this season as reported by Tribal Football

Although Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid have not done many negotiations in the last few years, it might happen that they do a number of them this transfer window. As the Los Rojiblancos are interested in Marcos Llorente, Real Madrid are interested in Atletico youth Theo Hernandez who is also on loan at Alaves. It is reported that the Los Blancos would have to pay a huge sum for the 19 year old left back to lure him away from Atletico.

Marcos Llorente has been a regular starter for the El Glorioso this season featuring in 29 games this season. Although the yound defensive midfielder has managed just 2 assists so far this season, he has been very influential to the Alaves faithful. However it is not likely that Llorente will move to local rivals Atletico as Real Madrid see him as a future midfield regular. Also playing for the Los Blancos runs in the family as Marcos is the son of Real Madrid legend Paco Llorente and also the nephew of another legend Paco Gento.

Alaves have had a brilliant first season in the Spanish top flight currently sitting at the 10th position, having famous victories such as beating Barcelona 2-1 at the Camp Nou. They have also reached the final of the Copa del Rey beating teams such as Celta Vigo on it’s way to the finals. They will face the Blaugrana in the finals on the 27th of May. However it will be a question if the El Glorioso will be able to carry on the form to next season with players such as Marcos Llorente and Theo Hernandez will both be returning to their parent clubs Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid respectively.
